WEST FARGO, ND (KVRR) – West Fargo Public Schools have canceled classes for the day.
They have provided this version on their website:
At the request of the City of West Fargo, the District made the decision to cancel school for today, Wednesday January 5th.
Current and forecast weather conditions have severely affected the City’s ability to keep our roads clear and our neighborhoods open.
For the safety of all of our students, staff and families, and to be a good community partner, this is the best decision to make, even if the time is not right.
The transport service has already started to organize routes for our primary school students.
Drivers will complete their routes to ensure that no students are left outside at a stop.
Once the route is over, the bus will go to the school and drop off the students.
Parents should pick up their students immediately.
To ensure that students are not dropped off without an adult house or the ability to enter the house, we will not be opening any bus lines to bring students back.
The middle and high school bus lines have not yet started, but if your high school student has already left for school or has been dropped off at their school, please bring them in immediately.
Since this is an emergency storm day, there will be NO virtual learning for today.
