Currie Marusak & Brielle Worley, Amarillo High School

Amarillo High’s senior outside batting duo of Marusak and Worley dominated Palo Duro’s sweep on Tuesday. Worley was first in kills (13) and digs (seven) while Marusak was second (10 kills, six digs) in both categories. Marusak also scored three aces and Worley added a block. Marusak also broke the school record for most wins in a season (560) with four district games remaining.

Paris Patterson, Randall

Patterson was the Lady Raiders’ best player in a four-set victory over Tascosa. The senior outside hitter finished the game with 20 kills and 16 digs, a team high, as she made her presence felt on both the offensive and defensive end of the ball.

Taytum Stow, Hereford

Stow has become a regular on this list and, for good reason, makes it again following her performance in district rival Canyon’s three-set sweep on Tuesday night. Stow led the No.2 Lady Whitefaces in kills (15), blocks (six) and aces (two) as they went 6-0 in the district game.

Rhiana Todd, Dalhart

Todd was the main force behind Lady Wolves in their straight set victory over River Road with 15 kills and nine digs. Dalhart claimed his first district victory of the season and will be looking for another great performance from Todd against Bushland this weekend.

Adah Henderson, Child

The Lady Bobcats claimed their first district victory of the 2021 season on Tuesday night behind the play of their junior intermediate blocker. Henderson recorded 18 kills and five blocks on the night, showing his exceptional ability to control net play.
