South Pasadena Unified School District Enrollment Begins Mid-February – Pasadena Schools

Registration to enroll children in South Pasadena Elementary Schools for the 2022-2023 school year will begin February 16, 2022. Parents/guardians interested in enrolling their children should first visit their home school to retrieve a registration file and make an appointment for a -person meeting. The meetings will take place from February 28 to March 4, 2022 for families who have other children in the District or from March 14 to 18, 2022 for new families. The child’s home school is determined by the limits of the frequentation zone for each school, and addresses can be checked here.

To improve the likelihood of siblings attending the same primary school, siblings of current students will be allowed to enroll first. When parents/guardians complete their enrollment meeting on the designated dates with the required documents, they are guaranteed an equal chance of being placed at their home school in the new Family Lottery, regardless of when. of the initial meeting. The registration date and time will only be used to determine school placement (subject to available space) for children who register after March 18, 2022.

With the statewide expansion of the transitional kindergarten (TK) program, children who turn five between September 2, 2022 and February 2, 2023 will also be able to enroll in the TK program offered this fall. Eligibility dates for transitional kindergarten this year are for children born between September 2, 2017 and February 2, 2018. Over the next four years, eligibility for the local TK program will increase by two months each year. More information about the TK program can be found on the SPUSD Website.

Enrolling in the school is a multi-step process and should be followed as shown at this link:
