NOTICE OF SPECIAL SCHOOL DISTRICT MEETING
ELECTORS OF THE
CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT ROSE-WOLCOTT NORTH ROSE-WOLCOTT
THE ROSE-WOLCOTT NORTH CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT EDUCATION BOARD HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that by resolution passed by the District Education Board on October 28, 2021, a special meeting of the qualified voters of said school district will be held at the high school located at 11631 Salter-Colvin Road in Wolcott, New York on December 16, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., prevailing time, for the purpose of voting on the following proposal by paper ballot:
Should the school board undertake a capital improvement project consisting of renovations, reconstructions, alterations and improvements to the district high school building and campus, the district elementary school building and campus, and of the district maintenance building, all to include the site, access, parking and playground improvements, demolition, utilities, mechanical, plumbing and electrical improvements, acquisition of furniture , accessories and original equipment and the payment of professional fees and all other necessary costs related to such work, and therefore spend a total sum not exceeding $ 11,100,000, which is estimated to be the maximum total cost thereof, and pay for the project using $ 3,036,697 from the capital reserve approved by the electors of the district on May 16, 2017 and by levying a tax which is by the pres voted for the project in the amount of $ 8,063,303, subject to available state aid, which tax will be levied and collected in annual installments in years and amounts that may be determined by the Education Council and in forecast of the collection of such taxes, bonds and district notes are allowed to be issued at the same time, or from time to time, in the principal amount not exceeding $ 8,063,303, and a tax is voted to pay the interest on said obligations when they are due?
PLEASE ALSO TAKE NOTICE that qualified voters in the district can obtain ballot requests by mail from the district clerk’s office. Completed applications must be received by the district clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on December 15, 2021, and must be received by 4:00 p.m. on December 9, 2021, if the postal ballot is to be mailed to the elector. Completed applications received after 4:00 p.m. on December 9, 2021 will require the elector to report personally to the district clerk’s office to receive a mail ballot. A list of all persons to whom a postal ballot is issued will be available for inspection by any qualified voter at the district clerk’s office between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. until December 15, 2021, except Saturdays, Sundays or days. holidays. Guidelines for voting absentees due to COVID-19 concerns will be posted on the school district’s website when available and questions can also be directed to the district clerk by email at TStJohn @ nrwcs.org or by phone at 315-594-2020.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that military ballots may be requested during school hours from the school district clerk’s office. Completed applications for military ballots must be received by the clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on November 19, 2021. A person will be considered a military voter if he or she (1) is a qualified voter of the State of New York, who is in effective military service and is absent from the district on registration or election day or is removed from office within 30 days of an election; or (2) a spouse, parent, child or dependent of such a member who is a qualified voter and is absent by reason of the member’s service. Military ballots must be received by the clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on the day of the special district meeting and election to be solicited.

Will the Board of Education undertake a capital improvement project consisting of renovations, reconstructions, modifications and improvements to the district high school building and campus, school building and campus district primary and district maintenance building, and will therefore spend a total sum not to exceed $ 11,100,000, which is estimated to be the maximum total cost thereof, and pay for the project by using $ 3,036,697 from the capital reserve approved by the electors of the district on May 16, 2017 and by levying a tax which is hereby voted for the project in the amount of $ 8,063,303, subject to of available state aid, which tax will be levied and collected in annual installments over the years and amounts determined by the Board of Education and in anticipation of the collection of this tax, district bonds and tickets are hereby authorized to be issued put all at once, or from time to time, for a principal amount not exceeding $ 8,063,303, and a tax is voted to pay interest on said bonds as they fall due?
