In Brief: Marshall Middle School News and More


The Make-A-Wish Club at Marshall Middle School is hosting its annual fundraiser at Monte Cello Restaurant on November 2 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Guests mentioning Marshall Middle School will have 25% of their bill donated to Marshall Middle School’s “Kids for Wish Kids” club.

The restaurant is located at 10441 Perry Highway in Wexford.

The club strives to raise funds to fulfill the dream of a child with a serious illness.


Photographer Andrew Barclay will speak at the Zelienople Area Public Library at 2 p.m. on October 22 at 2 p.m., sharing a PowerPoint presentation of his photographs and providing photography insights and tips.

The program is designed for people of all ages interested in photography. It is part of the library’s local showcase series focusing on talent in the region.

It is a free program with no registration required.

The library is located at 227 S. High St. in Zelienople.

The Local Showcase series will continue in December with a presentation by professional organizer Vickie Dellaquila on her children’s book “Ophelia.”


AmSpirit Business Connections Cranberry Chapter, meets every Wednesday from 7:15 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at the Best Western Hotel in Cranberry Township and also on Zoom.

Local professionals and business owners are welcome to join.

Hampton Presbyterian Church will host a Trunk or Treat event on October 29 from 2-4 p.m. in the lower car park and land adjoining the church. This event is open to the community.

Adults can decorate the backs of cars for Halloween, stock up on candy, and drive to the church parking lot between 1 and 1:30 p.m. for kids to “trick or treat” from car to car.
