Brentwood Union School District seeks candidates for Measure B Citizens Oversight Committee | New

The Brentwood Union School District is seeking two members for a two-year term on the Measure B School Bond Citizens’ Oversight Committee.

Measure B authorized the issuance of $158 million in bonds to finance the upgrading of the district’s 11 schools and the construction of a new elementary school. It was approved by 57% of voters in the June 2016 elections.

The committee will meet at least quarterly for the following tasks: actively monitor all projects and expenditures approved by voters; provide appropriate oversight and accountability to ensure Measure B funds are used as intended; and report to community members on the progress of Measure B projects.
