Angela Safran named new principal of Sartell Middle School

SARTELL — The Sartell-St. The Stephen School District has chosen Angela Safran as the new principal of Sartell Middle School.

Safran has been Principal of Holdingford Secondary School, which serves students in grades 7-12, and District Assessment Coordinator since 2018. Prior to becoming Principal of Holdingford Secondary School, Safran taught language arts and writing as well as writing and literature in schools. She began her teaching career in New York City at Webster Schroeder High School.

“Out of a pool of many outstanding candidates for our position as college principal, Angela Safran stood out for her experience as a secondary administrator, her educational leadership, and her engaging personality,” Superintendent Jeff Ridlehoover said.

“I have worked with middle and high school students for almost 20 years and I am delighted to be part of Sartell-St. The Stephen School District team,” Safran said in a press release. “The district is known for its high standards, excellence and community support.”

Safran will replace Laura Arndt, principal of Sartell Middle School, who has accepted a position at Sauk Rapids-Rice Middle School.
