Albany City School District: November 5 COVID-19 case

The Albany City School District was informed of four new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Friday.

One case is associated with the Albany School of Humanities (ASH). This individual was last in the building on November 2. The Albany County Health Department has not identified any additional contacts.

Another case is associated with the second year at Delaware Community School. This individual was in the building for the last time on November 1. The health service has identified 12 additional contacts, three of which do not need to be quarantined because they are fully vaccinated.

Another case is associated with the second year of New Scotland Elementary School. This individual was last in the building on October 22. The health service has not identified any additional contacts.

Friday’s last case is associated with the sixth grade at William S. Hackett Middle School. This individual was the last in the building on November 4. The health service has identified 15 additional contacts.

Health and safety procedures in all buildings in the district continue to include cleaning and disinfection. We will continue these procedures and also continue to follow all required COVID-19 precautions (wearing masks inside all buildings in the district, hand hygiene, social distancing of 3 feet or more in all classrooms and others. precautions).
