(4) Creekside (8-2) at (5) Navarre (8-2), 7:30 p.m.

The winner gets: (8) Flagler Palm Coast or (1) Bartram Trail in the regional semi-finals on November 18. Creekside would host FPC but travel to face Bartram.

Overview of the region: FPC is much better than a No. 8 seed. On the court, it was 7-3. He had to give up three wins due to an ineligible player. Without those forfeits, it would likely be a No. 4 or 5 seed. Instead, it gives Bartram a much tougher opening than he would have had. Bartram RB Laython Biddle became a sledgehammer for the Bears. Him and QB Riley Trujillo are both juniors and helped turn this Bartram offense into an explosive group. KG Zeke Cromwell and comics Sharif Denson give Bartram’s defense some teeth. They will try to master the FPC RB Marcus Mitchell (935 rushing yards, 11 touchdowns) and QB DJ Murray (1,409 passing yards, 15 touchdowns, 644 rushing yards, 11 touchdowns). … Creekside is averaging 40.7 points per game this season, with QB Wilson Edwards (1,412 passing yards, 15 TDs), WR Ashton Reynolds (455 receiving yards, 7 touchdowns) and RB Nicky Williams (1,097 rushing yards, 16 TDs) big offensive names to watch. comics Jaylen Boyer (4 INT) and LB Ian Mooney (72 tackles) lead the team in those defensive categories.

Overview of the region: Broncos bounced back from 0-4 start to advance to state playoffs, with RB TJ lane (1,786 rushing yards, 16 touchdowns) at the forefront of this turnaround. KG austin cruce (97 tackles) and DB Jaden Boyd (3 INT) lead the defense. Middleburg hasn’t made the playoffs in a COVID-free year since 2016. … St. Augustine is back in the state playoffs after missing last year for the first time since 1998. is back this year and will be back next year as well. second-year QB Locklan Hewlett (2,126 passing yards) threw for 23 touchdowns. WR Trenton Jones (564 receiving yards, 4 touchdowns) and Carl Jenkins Jr. (542 receiving yards, 8 touchdowns) are both sophomores. And RB Devonte Lyons (1,269 rushing yards, 16 touchdowns) is a junior. The same goes for the team’s best tackler, Drake Lusk (77 tackles, 3 TFL). … Columbia got off to a rocky 0-2 start but clicked in the second half of the season. Dual Threat QB Tyler Jefferson (938 passing yards, 7 TDs, 441 rushing yards, 4 TDs) keeps defenses focused and has a very good WR target Camden Frier (413 receiving yards, 4 touchdowns). RB Tony Fulton (537 rushing yards, 8 TDs) is a guard teams need to watch out for.

Region 1-2S

(7) Walton (7-3) at (2) Suwannee (8-2), 7:30 p.m.

The winner gets: (6) Panama City Bay or (3) West Florida in the regional semi-finals on November 18. Suwannee would host either team.

Overview of the region: The Bulldogs are on fire heading into the state playoffs, including a 10-7 victory over previously undefeated Bradford in Week 11. They have won six straight. RB Markavivious Owens (951 rushing yards, 6 TDs) and WR Javarion Smith (796 receiving yards, 9 TDs) are the skill position players powering Suwannee. QC Bronsen Tillotson (1,445 passing yards, 13 TDs) has a big arm. KG Kodi Lang (80 tackles) leads Suwannee on the defensive side of the ball.

2-2S region

(8) Crescent City (4-6) at (1) Bradford (9-1)

The winner gets: (4) North Marion or (5) Eastside in the regional final on November 18. Bradford would host either team.

The winner gets: (7) Palatka or (2) Baldwin in the regional semi-finals on November 18. Yulee and Baker County would travel to face Baldwin but host Palatka.

Overview of the region: Intriguing matches here with the Tornadoes, the undisputed favorite. Bradford is coming off a Week 11 loss to Suwannee (10-7), but the Tornadoes have been sensational on the defensive end of the ball all season (31 points allowed). They beat three of the teams from that region by a combined 91-14. KG Chason Clark leads Bradford on the defensive side of the ball. RB Manny Covey and Willie Pollardand QB Jeremiah McKenzie lead the tornadoes on the attack. … The 2-7 game is a very good, very balanced game. Patrick Turner helped turn the Panthers around quickly, including a 7-0 start to the season. Sure, they stumbled on the stretch, but this is major progress. QC Jamarrie McKinnon has 15 TD passes (1,246 passing yards), one-third of those going to Ty’Ran Bush (439 receiving yards). comics Chavaris-Dumas is one of the region’s best stealers. He has six of Palatka’s eight picks. Baldwin is coming off a Week 11 shellacking (28-0 loss to White) but is a district champion and had only lost once before, a 30-0 loss to Bradford. QC Jalen Hitchens (882 yards rushing, 10 TDs) is a big threat out of the pocket with his legs. comics Cortez Martinez and LB Leon Kirkland combined for nine of Baldwin’s 13 interceptions. … Yulee had Baker County on the ropes in a regular season contest, only for the Wildcats to come back for a 31-30 victory. QC Chris Turner was one of the best passers in the area for the Hornets (1,994 yards, 24 touchdowns), most of those yards at WR Zackary Drawdy (842 receiving yards, 8 touchdowns). Josiah Evans and Jye Thompson have combined for 881 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns. KG Amauri Goff (96 tackles, 9 TFL) leads Yulee’s defense. Baker County has one of the most explosive backs in the area Cam Smith (1,273 rushing yards, 14 touchdowns). Kgs Seth Chestnut (129 tackles, 4 TFLs) and Orlando Holland (110 tackles, 11.5 sacks, 5 TFL) are tough on offense. comics Davion Dean (6 INT) allowed Baker County high school larceny to thrive, despite significant graduation losses.

Region 3-1R

(5) Fort White (6-4) to (4) Madison County (3-6)

The winner gets: (1) Union County in the regional semi-finals on November 18. Union would host either team.

A look: It’s been a different kind of season for the Cowboys, the defending state champion. Losses aside, they faced stiff competition in the regular season. How will that pay off come playoff time? These teams have met three times in the playoffs, all Madison County wins. RB Indians Najeeb Smith (999 rushing yards, 9 TDs) will likely eclipse the 1,000 rushing yard mark on his first run. QC Clayton Philpot (1,058 passing yards) threw 11 TD passes. comics Gavin Heaton (4 INT) and LB Davone Calhoun (110 tackles) also featured for Fort White.
